Celebrated every year during the last weekend of September in Davis, WV, the Leaf Peepers Festival marks the changing season and celebrates spectacular fall colors throughout the landscape of majestic mountains and foggy valleys. This event draws more attendees each year than any other Tucker County event. The Festival hosts a craft show, classic car show, golf tournament, duck race, live music, and other activities for all ages. Joining the weekend of events, the Tucker Community Foundation (TCF) hosts a 2k/5k Walk/Run for It This is the premier fundraising event for the TCF and other local chapter organizations wanting to showcase their accomplishments throughout the year.

The Leaf Peepers Parade

Join us for the Leaf Peeper’s Parade!  The line-up is Friday at 6 pm, next to the Dollar General.  The parade route will start at 2nd Street and end at Henry Ave. on William Ave. (Rte 32) in downtown Davis. Trophies will be awarded at the DVFD Fire Hall directly after the parade.

Tucker Community Foundation’s annual Run For It 2k /5k Tour of Davis – is a 2k (1.2M) walk and USATF-certified 5K (3.1M) race held on Saturday at 10 am around the scenic mountain town of Davis.  Awards will be on the same day at 1 pm on the Leaf Peeper’s Stage.

$25 for the last duck to cross.

Stop by the information center in Davis to get a ticket for $2 or a booklet of 5 tickets for $8.

Each duck is a number to go along with ticket numbers. Watch the race on Sunday at 1 pm. (Camp 70 Bridge behind Dollar General)
